Kim Jong Un meets nuclear weapons researchers, guides nukes manufacturing

Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People’s Army, met scientists and technicians in the nuclear weapons research sector and guided the manufacturing of nuclear weapons.

He was accompanied by General Kim Rak Gyom, commander of the Strategic Force of the KPA, and Hong Hyong Chil and Kim Yo Jong, deputy department directors of the WPK Central Committee.

The Supreme Commander familiarized himself with the proud successes made by the nuclear scientists and technicians in manufacturing nuclear weapons and the structural and operational principles of the powerful and miniaturized nuclear warhead designed to use mixed charge that is built in a Korean style.

He said the nuclear warhead is really great as it has been manufactured in a rational structure whereby thermonuclear reaction can develop rapidly in a moment. Nuclear warheads have been made lightened and standardized in line with ballistic rockets, he said, describing this as a real nuclear deterrent. He expressed his satisfaction, stating there is nothing impossible for the Korean people when they are determined to do.

Explaining to scientists, technicians and officials once again the WPK’s revolutionary line on promoting the two fronts simultaneously, which calls for constantly building up self-reliant defence capability with nuclear forces as the pivot, he said now that it has become a full-fledged nuclear state, the DPRK has provided itself with a sure guarantee for making breakthroughs in the efforts to build the economy and improve the people’s standard of living on the basis of the powerful nuclear deterrent.

This line is not a temporary countermeasure to cope with the rapidly-changing situation, but a strategic line that should be maintained permanently as long as the imperialists persist in nuclear threat and high-handedness, he stated.

He stressed the need to ensure the regular operation of nuclear facilities at a high level to steadily produce necessary materials, develop the nuclear weapons technology uninterruptedly to manufacture more powerful, precise and miniaturized nukes and their carriers in larger quantities and take sustained steps to upgrade the means of nuclear strike already deployed for action.

The real challenge for our nuclear forces is nuclear war itself, he asserted, and the deterrent to aggression and nuclear war will get more powerful as much as the nuclear strike capacity is built up. To assiduously strengthen nuclear forces both quantitatively and qualitatively is the just and reliable way to prevent nuclear holocaust on our motherland, he said.

The right to nuclear preemptive strike is not a US monopoly, he said, and the DPRK will not hesitate to strike the US imperialists with nukes first if they attempt to encroach on our sovereignty and right to existence with nukes.
