Best wishes come from Palestinian and Lao leaders

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas sent greetings on Thursday to Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, to mark the 74th anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Mahmoud Abbas who is also chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization highly appreciated the WPK for having maintained historic and militant relations with the Palestinian people and supported the struggle of the world people for liberation and independence and especially the legitimate struggle of the Palestinian people to terminate the occupation by Israel and found an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

He vowed to make strenuous efforts to boost bilateral ties and hew out the future in conformity with the shared goal.

He wished Kim Jong Un good health and happiness and the WPK and the friendly Korean people eternal prosperity.

Earlier, greetings also came from Laotian President Bounnang Vorachith on Oct 2.

We are convinced that under the guidance of the WPK the fraternal Korean people will continue to register successes in the efforts to defend the country, accomplish the cause of building a powerful socialist country, realize the peaceful reunification of the country and implement the decision of the Seventh Party Congress, said Bounnang Vorachith, who is concurrently general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.

He hoped for the steady development of traditional relations between the two Parties, two countries and two peoples.
