Cuba denounces US’ human rights abuses

“Racial discrimination and police brutality that are rampant in the US are not some faults contained in its social system, but stem from the faulty system itself,” said the Geneva-based permanent representative of Cuba.

Speaking at the recent emergency forum of the UN Human Rights Council, he described the murder of the black man by the white cop in the US as an institutional human rights violation stemming from the age-old racial discrimination.

In the United States which originated from slavery, only a handful of ruling classes hold privilege whereas the overwhelming majority of the population is subjected to plunder, he asserted.
