Lukashenko sets primary security tasks

Belarussian President Lukashenko in a recent congratulatory message released to mark the day of state security officers said that the country’s successful development and social stability hinge on the role of the state security committee in the struggle against the military and political pressure from the outside forces, international terrorism, extremism and economic crimes.

He set it forth as a major task of the committee to cope with the activities of foreign information agencies, safeguard the constitutional regime and perform the function as the information agency of the government reliably.
