
A magnificent memorial museum of combat feats was erected in the best place of the capital city to praise the great heroic spirit of the brave Korean People's Army soldiers who participated in the overseas military operations to create the legend of miraculous victory unprecedented in history with ardent patriotism and loyalty by defending the sacred prestige and dignity of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
The immortal edifice, which will convey forever the ideological and spiritual superiority, mass heroism and unrivalled bravery which are peculiar to the KPA and which were displayed in the special military operations to liberate Kursk Region of the fraternal Russian Federation with the sacred mission and duty, is a symbol of the most righteous people and the strongest army of the DPRK and a great monument injecting eternal vitality to the development of the DPRK-Russia relations which were forged and are consolidated at the cost of blood.
The monumental edifice, which shows through the highest architecture and lofty artistic portrayal the traces of life the officers and soldiers of KPA overseas operations units left in battlefields, their brilliant military achievements and their passionate pulsation and noble soul, is associated with the boundless sincerity, reverence and noble moral obligation of our Party and government and our people and KPA service personnel for the brave war soldiers, and it represents the heroism of our times and the invincibility of our cause.
An inauguration ceremony of the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations was solemnly held on April 26 on the occasion of the first anniversary of the conclusion of the operations to liberate Kursk of the Russian Federation.
Pervading the ceremony venue were deep respect for and remembrance of the heroic war soldiers who had been unfailingly faithful to the orders of the country and dedicated their lives without hesitation for the dignity and honour of our great state.

Present there were Jo Yong Won, Jo Chun Ryong, No Kwang Chol and other senior Party, government and military officials, commanders of the KPA large combined units, officers and men of the overseas operations units and engineering unit, the bereaved families of the fallen fighters, leading officials of ministries and national agencies, the soldier-builders and creators who contributed to the construction of the museum, students of revolutionary schools, youth and students and citizens of Pyongyang.
Attending the ceremony were also Vyacheslav Volodin, speaker of the State Duma, Andrei Beloussov, minister of Defence, and other members of the official delegation of the Russian Federation and staff members of the Russian embassy in Pyongyang.
