Jagang builds up forest conservation, management system and foundations
Jagang Province is pushing ahead with an undertaking to lay material and technical foundations in the wake of completing the system of monitoring and reporting forest fire and that of mass mobilization.
It created firebreaks extending for hundreds of kilometres and repairs them on a regular basis while installing necessary facilities including over 20km-long stone barrier and more than 130 cubic metres of catchment areas this year alone.
It increased the production of biological agrochemicals by 9 percent more than planned in the second quarter of the year while strengthening forest fire monitoring and prediction of blights by enhancing the responsibility and role of forest rangers.
