War veterans arrive in Pyongyang for national conference, leading Party officials visit their lodging quarters

The Seventh National Conference of War Veterans is to be held in Pyongyang with splendour on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

War veterans arrived in Pyongyang on July 25 to attend the conference.

Officials of Party and government organs and working people in different local areas had congratulated and warmly seen off war veterans heading for Pyongyang with decorations and medals on their chests reflective of their immortal feats.

Leading officials of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and officials concerned warmly greeted the participants upon their arrival in Pyongyang.

Citizens warmly welcomed the victors of the great years with high respect at Pyongyang International Airport and along the streets of Pyongyang.

That day, secretaries of the WPK Central Committee Ri Il Hwan, Jong Sang Hak, O Su Yong and Thae Hyong Chol, department directors of the WPK Central Committee Kim Jae Ryong and O Il Jong and deputy department directors of the WPK Central Committee visited their lodging quarters to award the war veterans the participation certificates and congratulate them who bask in glory.
