China launches manned spacecraft

On October 16, China launched manned spacecraft “Shenzhou-13” at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre.

The spacecraft with three astronauts going to a space station on board was loaded on Long March-2 carrier rocket.

The astronauts will stay in orbit for six months, operating mechanical arms, conducting activities outside the module and movements in the module section and verifying a series of major technologies.
