There took place a football game between the DPRK Missile Administration and the Second Economy Commission on September 22.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, watched the game.

All the participants were filled with great excitement and joy as they would hold a significant sports and cultural event in the presence of Comrade Kim Jong Un at a time when they are swelling with the pride of having received thanks, as a token of deep trust, from the Party and the government for the precious successes they have achieved in implementing the Party's line of building up national defence through defence science research and production.

Comrade Kim Jong Un met with leading officials in the munitions industry and extended warm congratulations and encouragement to the scientific research group of the Missile Administration, the Second Economy Commission and all the munitions industry workers who have devoted themselves to faithfully upholding the self-reliant defence policy of the WPK with practical successes.

He said today's sports game was arranged to appreciate their efforts and express thanks to them.

Among the spectators were Pak Jong Chon, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the WPK, and secretaries of the Central Committee of the WPK.

The football match was held between the Hwasong team of the Missile Administration and the Ponghwa team of the Second Economy Commission.

Comrade Kim Jong Un expressed his thanks to the group of defence scientists and technicians and the munitions industry workers for the contributions they have made by performing an unprecedented miracle, to be specially recorded in the history of the sacred struggle for modernizing the DPRK's armed forces and bolstering its war-fighting capability, and by clearly demonstrating the matchless development and absolute superiority of our defence capability. He said that their patriotism, loyalty and devoted efforts constitute the most precious contribution, which can never be bartered nor be bought for anything, to the security and eternal development and prosperity of the country.

He said the defence scientists and technicians and the munitions industry workers should further redouble their revolutionary optimism and high spirit and continuously bring about leaps forward and innovations in boosting the national defence capability by their concerted efforts so as to defend the DPRK's inviolable sovereignty and security, safeguard peace and reliably guarantee the eternal development of the socialist motherland with absolutely superior strength.

The Hwasong and Ponghwa teams, enjoying the great privilege of playing the match in the presence of Comrade Kim Jong Un, fiercely competed for the honour of their units. The former beat the latter 4-1.
