The commander of the radiation, chemical and biological defence force of the Russian armed forces revealed and denounced the military biological activities the US conducted in Ukraine at a news conference on January 15.

According to him, an analysis of data about its military biological activities conducted in the Ukrainian territory last year proved that more than 50 persons including high-ranking officials of the US and Ukraine were involved in the activities.

As the US expands such activities systematically, not only the security of Russia but also that of other countries Washington regards as its strategic rivals is being exposed to danger, he warned.

The pathogens are artificially made and if the area of their proliferation expands without restriction, the epidemic situation will get worse, he said, stressing that the danger is increasing further as the AI and other technologies are being used.

What arouses especially serious concern is that the US is hindering the implementation of international voluntary initiatives for ratifying the convention banning biological weapons, he noted, asserting that this makes it impossible to undertake an investigation into the activities conducted at laboratories in the US and other countries.

Much upset by the revelation of its military biological activities in Ukraine, the US is trying to put pressure on its allies and developing countries in a bid to reduce political losses caused by the disclosure, he decried.
