Iran unveils homemade weapon systems

Iran opened to the public an antiballistic missile system and an antiaircraft system it developed by itself in Tehran on February 17.

The interceptor system is reportedly capable of detecting targets at a distance of 180km and destroying them within a radius of 120km, while the low-altitude air defence system can protect core installations from threats from drones and small aircraft.

At the unveiling ceremony, the Iranian Minister of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics described the development of the weapon systems as a great success achieved in the field of the defence industry.
