Alexandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK, and Valeri Isaenko, military attaché of the Russian embassy, gave a banquet at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club in Pyongyang on February 23 to mark the Day of Defenders of the Motherland.

Invited to the banquet were Lieutenant General Kim Min Sop, vice-minister of National Defence of the DPRK, generals and other officers of the Korean People’s Army, relevant officials and diplomatic envoys of different countries and military attachés of embassies in the country. 

Also present there were staff members of the Russian embassy.

Speeches were made at the banquet.

The participants drank a toast to the health of Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the DPRK, and Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, president of the Russian Federation, and the steady development of the DPRK-Russia friendship.
