A spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce of China censured the US for levying additional tariffs on some Chinese products on May 14.

The US is politicizing economic and trade problems and using them as a tool, motivated by political interests, he disclosed, stressing that China expresses strong dissatisfaction at that as it is a typical political fabrication. 

The US should set right its wrong behaviour and cancel its additional tariff measure against China, he said, clarifying the stand of the Chinese government to safeguard its rights and interests by taking a resolute step.
