Spring land realignment pushed ahead

Land rezoning units put spurs to spring land realignment. 

According to an official concerned, over 4 600 hectares of farm fields are to be realigned into those for mechanized farming this spring.

Land realignment is aimed at expanding the area under cultivation and realizing the comprehensive mechanization of the rural economy.

The April 22 land realignment shock brigade, which is involved in land improvement in South Hwanghae Province, the largest agricultural province of the country, is thoroughly implementing daily plans for restoring land and turning dry fields into paddy fields.

Farm fields are changing into those for mechanized farming in Jangyon and Pongchon counties, and washed away farmland is being reclaimed in Unnyul County.

In Anak County soil removal has been followed by levelling of paddy fields, reinforcement of their levees and so on according to technical requirements so that farm machines can carry out farm work efficiently.

The North Phyongan provincial regiment of the brigade is also realigning farmland in several areas of South Hwanghae Province on a high level.

The North Hwanghae provincial regiment is pushing ahead with the realignment of fields in the areas along the Hwangju Kindung waterway.

The South Hamgyong provincial regiment is rezoning large areas of land in the province while rationally organizing work to suit soil conditions and topographical features of its cities and counties.

The Jagang provincial land realignment shock brigade is realigning large areas of dry fields into standardized paddy fields in Hyangsan County in accordance with an annual plan.
