 A spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected the interference in the Hong Kong issue at a press conference on June 14.

According to him, the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, the European Union and others recently defiled the national security safeguarding law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the national security safeguarding rules and meddled in the constitutional government by the region. In connection with this, China expressed strong dissatisfaction with it and opposed it resolutely, he said. 

The interference by any outside forces is not allowed since the Hong Kong issue entirely belongs to the internal affairs of China, he said, stressing the need for countries concerned to thoroughly respect the sovereignty of China and the constitutional government by Hong Kong and refrain from backing up anti-China elements and those causing confusion in Hong Kong and covering up their crimes.
