Russian President Vladimir Putin issued on March 10 a decree on establishing in the State Council a committee taking charge of the issue of assisting the participants in the special military operation and their family members.

The decree is aimed at further getting into line the activities of government agencies at all levels and the “Defenders of the Country” fund for the provision of social support and assistance to veterans of the special military operation.

The committee is reportedly to work out measures to provide the veterans and their families with social support and adapt those who returned from the front to social life and labour activities and to analyse the assistance work which has already been conducted and generalize positive experience gained from that.
