China censures G7 for double standards

March 21, 2025

A spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China denounced G7’s double standard-based behaviour at a press conference on March 17.

Shortly ago, G7 made a fuss about a China-related agenda item and tried to find fault with the Taiwan issue and others again in a joint statement and declaration issued at its foreign ministers’ meeting. As to this, the spokesman said that those documents turned black into white to slander and denigrate China and interfere in its internal affairs.

It is clear evidence of double standards that G7 made China alone a subject of discussion, never mentioning the risk of nuclear proliferation by the US, the UK and Australia, he asserted.

He strongly urged G7 to abandon cold-war way of thinking and discontinue such acts of violating the sovereignty of China and inciting conflicts, antagonism and confrontation between camps.
