Premieres of the Ninth April Spring People's Art Festival were given at theatres and halls in Pyongyang, the capital of the DPRK, on April 11.
The performances were seen by members of the festival organizing committee and officials, working people and youth and students in Pyongyang.
Put on the stages of performances given by art group members from institutions, industrial establishments, farms and other units across the country were monumental hymns in praise of the peerlessly great men and famous songs of the times reflecting the indomitable spirit and ideological and spiritual world of the heroic Korean people.
Performances were given by art group members from Changsong County, the Sangwon Cement Complex, the Kangson Vinyl Sheet Factory and the Sariwon Disabled Soldiers' Sewing Thread Factory at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre and the Pyongyang Grand Theatre.
Performances, given at the People's Palace of Culture and the Central Youth Hall by art group members from the Taean Heavy Machine Complex, the Kyongsong Electrical Appliances Factory, the Ryanggang Provincial Foreign Trade Administration and the Jungphyong Greenhouse Farm, revved up the festive atmosphere of the April holiday.
Art group members from the Chongchongang Thermal Power Station, the Ryongjon Fruit Farm in Pukchong County, the Kyenam Stockbreeding Farm of the South Hwanghae Provincial Rural Economy Committee and the East Pyongyang Thermal Power Station gave performances at the Cultural Hall of the Ministry of Railways and the Central Hall of Workers.
