Today, the revolution in construction is an essential prerequisite to implementing the development strategy of the Workers’ Party of Korea for bringing about an epochal change on this land, and the implementation of all important policies of the Party and the state is accompanied by construction in all sectors, units and regions.

It would be no exaggeration to say that construction is the most effective means of expressing politics visually, bringing people closer to civilization and prosperity they dream and rapidly increasing the wealth of the country.

The design sector is urgently required to go ahead of other sectors at present when the scope of construction is steadily expanding and the struggle for comprehensive national rejuvenation is going full steam ahead.

The designs of architectural structures to be built for the people should properly combine modernity with national identity while giving top priority to the safety of the people’s lives and the promotion of their wellbeing and reflect the great ideology and noble political creed of our times and the aspirations for higher ideals and civilization.

In this sense, it can be said that designers are “political artists” who draw the ideas and policies of the WPK in reality.
