DPRK players returned home after taking part in the Second Asian Karate Championships and Cup held in Kazakhstan.

The championships brought together more than 500 men and women players selected from 18 countries and regions including the DPRK, Russia and Kyrgyzstan.

DPRK players bagged eight gold, one silver and one bronze medals.

Kim Rim Song and Pak Su Jong were placed first in the men's and women's individual pattern and sparring matches and Han Tae Hyok and Jong Won Bom in the men's individual sparring matches respectively.

The players who returned home after glorifying the honour of the country were warmly greeted by officials of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee, sportspersons and their families at Pyongyang International Airport on April 26.
