Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the people’s bravery, heroism and fortitude are an invariable guarantee for the existence of Russia at a talk with heads of local autonomous organs on April 21.

Those who are trying to deprive Russia of its independence, sovereignty and freedom do not properly understand this, he said, noting that some Western politicians have come to realize this only after failing in their attempt to inflict a “strategic defeat” on Russia.

He stressed that those who had attempted to inflict a “strategic defeat” on Russia including Nazis in the past realized it belatedly.
