Russian deputy foreign minister underlines need to prevent repeat of tragedy by fascism
April 30, 2025A Russian deputy foreign minister took part in a cultural event held in Moscow on April 25 to denounce some countries’ attempt to distort history.
Expressing concern over the recent moves to revive Nazism, he accused some countries of obliterating the role of the Soviet Union which destroyed fascism, portraying Nazi war criminals and their accomplices as “heroes” and destroying monuments to Soviet soldiers, their liberators.
He stressed that the repetition of the tragedy caused by fascism can never be tolerated and to this end it is important to preserve the historical memories.
