Russian presidential press secretary Dmitri Peskov said at a news conference on April 28 that the treaty on mutual assistance between the DPRK and Russia is in operation in an effective way.

“The two countries have a treaty in force. According to the treaty, both sides have a duty to provide powerful assistance to each other if necessary,” he noted.

He added the actions of the DPRK sub-units that contributed to liberating Kursk Region proved the effective operation of the treaty.
