New educational management system introduced in an accurately targeted method
May 1, 2025In the DPRK all higher and general educational institutions in the capital and provinces are making efforts to actively introduce advanced methods for training talents.
Wonsan Jong Jun Thaek University of Economics has made achievements by conducting the work to introduce new educational management systems in an accurately targeted method.
Kim Chung Hyok, chief of the instruction guidance department, who is progressive and ambitious, has spared no effort to study and introduce a new educational management system for raising the lecturers' teaching levels, regarding as a guideline the Workers' Party of Korea's definition that a radical improvement in education is, in essence, a radical improvement in teachers’ qualifications.
Thanks to the deep thought and efforts of the university officials, a new educational management system was established at the university.
"The new educational management system is mainly aimed at bringing about radical innovations in teaching plans and methods," he said.
The teaching plans drawn by lecturers are assessed by ten indexes, including the theoretical basis, popularization, practicality, comprehensiveness and modernity of their contents, and the methods of teaching are done according to question-and-answer plans, the level of making of multimedia and the level of using foreign languages. And 16 indexes are applied in relation to the creation of new teaching methods to make more exact demands.
The examination of the teaching plans and methods is very rigorous.
It is done in a planned way without fail by faculty, department and lecturer, and the results are reviewed every six months: both the merits of ten superior lecturers and the demerits of ten inferior ones are shown through videos so that the experience in success and lessons from failure can be shared by all.
As a result, all lecturers are redoubling their efforts to attain high goals and competition among teachers, departments and faculties is growing fierce.
To further arouse the zeal for competition, the instruction guidance department organizes various kinds of teaching contests such as those of new lecturers, department heads and concurrent lecturers.
The new educational management system has soon proved effective in practice as the relevant examination is done through inspection of a class at work at any time in many cases.
The university also methodologically conducts the work to generalize the successes made in the course of introducing the new educational management system, thus making it possible for one achievement to lead to ten and twenty.
"It is the unanimous aspiration and will of the university officials and lecturers to raise its educational level as early as possible and thus train talents who will contribute a large share to the development of the national economy," said Kim Chung Hyok.
