In March, many final-year senior middle school students across the country volunteered for front-line border posts, hardening their resolve to mercilessly punish with arms of the revolution the US and the ROK clan for their reckless war drills seriously threatening the sovereignty of the DPRK.

Well over a hundred of them in Chongjin expressed their determination to volunteer for front-line army units, regarding national defence as the highest expression of patriotism, the most sacred duty and the foremost mission.

Among them were those who decided to join the Korean People’s Army for national defence, instead of entering universities, with a strong desire to successfully carry forward the resolute spirit of national defence displayed by the victorious wartime generation.

As they felt the preciousness of the country through their actual life during their 130-day stay in Pyongyang, dozens of graduating-class students of Hadan Senior Middle School No. 1 in Sinuiju, North Phyongan Province, resolved to defend their beloved native place with arms. Those of Kim Kwang Chol Senior Middle School in Kujang County hoped to guard front-line posts, vowing to make their proud alma mater remember their names, too.

One hundred and ten graduating-class students of Pyongyang Middle School for Orphans, too, volunteered to join the KPA.

They said that while learning to their heart’s content without nothing to envy in the world under the great loving care of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un so as to prepare themselves to be successors to the revolution, they had a unanimous desire to repay his benevolence even a bit.

It is a natural duty for them to perform laudable military merits for national defence in the prime of their life, though there are many places where they can bring their hopes and ambitions into full bloom, they added.

The successive news about the graduating-class students volunteering to join the KPA is fuelling the zeal for advance of the people across the country, who are out in the building of a powerful socialist country.
