The 10th National Children's Football Tournament opened on the occasion of the 79th founding anniversary of the Korean Children's Union.

An opening ceremony was held at Sariwon Youth Stadium on May 8.

Present there were Pak Chang Ho, chief secretary of the North Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the youth league and schoolchildren.

Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, delivered an opening address.

The players marched in file, which was followed by a match between the boys’ football teams of North Hwanghae and North Phyongan provinces.
