Land administration leads to economic construction
May 14, 2025Land administration is a patriotic undertaking for the everlasting prosperity of the country and an important one for protecting the lives and health of the people and beautifying the country.
The importance and urgency of land management is further highlighted under the circumstances that the extreme weather conditions have worsened worldwide and our country has been affected by them every year.
Only when priority is given to land management and the greatest deal of energies are directed to it, can substantial progress be made in economic construction and the improvement of the people’s living standards and the appearance of our country be further improved.
Land management leads to economic construction.
Land is the material basis of economic growth. The basic means of agricultural production is land and the raw and other materials needed for light industry also come from land and forests. If land and forests are washed away or damaged as land is not properly protected, forests are not properly planted and rivers are not properly improved, it is impossible to increase agricultural production and the production of consumer goods, and the overall economic construction will be affected by it.
Land administration will be a blessing if great importance is attached to it, but a misfortune if it is neglected.
In particular, it is important to properly conduct land management, such as the planting of forests and improvement of the rivers to suit the natural and geographical features of our country with many mountains and rivers.
It is also important to carry out forest restoration scientifically and in a far-sighted way.
Forests should be planted in full consideration of how to prevent landslides, and mixed forests should also be created in a rational and far-sighted way by taking into account the commensal relation of trees, climate and soil conditions of the related areas, purpose of creating forests and others in detail.
It is possible to ensure the sustainable development of the national economy when land and other natural environment are actively protected and rationally exploited.
The frenzies of nature have a destructive force, but effective land management with a long-term plan will minimize the damage caused by them.
In recent years, many cities and counties across the country, including Unsan and Kilju counties, have pushed ahead with river improvement projects in succession under the phased plans to protect the farmland and bring a large area of land under the plough. They have also made marked progress in developing the regional economy and improving the people's standards of living through effective land management, including the considerable improvement of the technical conditions of roads and bridges.
Land administration is a noble patriotic undertaking on which a great deal of efforts should be concentrated not only for the prosperity and development of our state, but also for the lives of the people and for the younger generations. It is also a job for one's own self, one's unit and one's region.
