Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, at a press conference in the Kremlin on May 11, praised the combat capability, bravery and heroism of the service personnel of the DPRK who offered assistance in liberating Kursk Region.

He said:

The service personnel of the DPRK, together with Russian combatants, successfully and faithfully carried out the tasks assigned to them in the operation to liberate Kursk Region from the units of the Kiev authorities.

I’d like to emphasize that they displayed bravery and heroism.

I want to say again that they showed the highest combat capability and high level of combat readiness.

He said he was pleased to have personally expressed thanks to the commanding officers of the Korean People's Army and sent the warmest regards to the soldiers and commanding officers of the special forces of the DPRK who fought near Kursk.
