Belarus and Vietnam established strategic partnership.

Talks were held between Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and To Lam, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, in Minsk on May 12.

At the talks, referring to the fact that the two countries have stepped up cooperation in the field of munitions industry complex, the Belarus president said that his country is ready to continue such cooperation in the future.  

At the end of the talks, a joint statement was signed on forming strategic partnership between the two countries and a series of agreements was concluded on cooperation in the fields of military, science and technology, culture, sports, tourism and others.
