Russia, Belarus strengthen cooperation in military field
May 23, 2025Russia and Belarus are promoting cooperation to ensure military security.
At the talks on May 16 the defence ministers of the two countries confirmed their mutual stand to jointly cope with the challenges and threats to military security and agreed to beef up military and military technical cooperation.
Meanwhile, the two countries are to conduct the Western Part-2025 joint military exercises this year.
In the drill, their service personnel will practise the method of repulsing invasion against the Russia–Belarus allied state.
In addition, they are forging ahead with the plan to deploy advanced weapons including the new-type intermediate-range ballistic missile Oreshnik in Belarus.
