The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un received a letter of thanks from the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) on May 25.

The letter said that all the officials of Chongryon and other Koreans in Japan are deeply moved by the great loving care and solicitude shown by the respected Marshal, who sent the important letter "Let Us Write a New Great Chapter in the History of the Movement of Koreans in Japan by Carrying Forward the Patriotic Spirit of the Founder Generation" to glorify the 70th anniversary of the foundation of Chongryon on the highest level, though he is very busy energetically leading the great general advance in the historic year of the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

It described the historic letter as the important guidelines and the banner of sure victory for the movement of Koreans in Japan in the glorious era of Kim Jong Un which comprehensively indicate the general orientation and main tasks of writing a new great chapter in the history of the movement and ways for carrying them out by inheriting the traditions of loyalty, unity and love for the country and nation started by the founder generation of Chongryon.

The respected Marshal said that carrying forward the traditions means inheriting the spirit and creating a more wonderful history and the heritage of the founder generation is mirrored in the appearance of the community of compatriots built up by the descendants who have assumed the mission of succession, the letter said, adding: Regarding this instruction as a supreme order, we will wage a courageous struggle by setting the decade to the 80th founding anniversary of Chongryon as a new period of struggle for making sure progress in carrying forward the traditions with the 70th anniversary of Chongryon as a turning point.

The Chongryon Central Standing Committee in the letter wished the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un good health for the victory in the revolutionary cause of Juche and the patriotic cause of Chongryon in reflection of the ardent loyalty and boundless reverence of all Chongryon officials and other Koreans in Japan.
