A spokesman for the Defense Ministry of China dismissed the baseless accusation by Japan at a news conference on May 29.

As to the fact that the draft of the 2025 defense white paper released by the Japanese Defense Ministry has the contents denigrating the military activities of China, he asserted that the relevant document criticized the buildup of China’s military strength and found fault with its just military activities and external military cooperation, while repeating the same old tone of argument.

Saying that this year is the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, he emphasized that Japan should deeply reflect on itself at this historic point of time, instead of falsely accusing others.

He strongly demanded Japan act prudently in the aspect of military security.
