A gala evening of schoolchildren for celebrating the 79th founding anniversary of the Korean Children’s Union took place in front of the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace on the evening of June 6 amid the warm blessings of the people across the country to the KCU members, the whole of joy, pride, hope and future of the socialist country.

Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, Choe Tong Myong, secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, other senior Party and government officials and officials of the youth league saw the event together with the participants in the 79th KCU founding anniversary celebrations and other schoolchildren.

Also seen there were members of the delegation of Korean schoolchildren in Japan on a visit to the socialist homeland to take part in the June 6 KCU anniversary celebrations.

The gala evening began amid the playing of the song "We Are the Happiest in the World" and a magnificent firework extravaganza.

The participants in the gala evening performed a lively dance, reflecting in the change of various formations and beautiful rhythmic dance movements the proud looks and courageous spirit of the rising generations who are growing up healthily as successors to the revolution, flying high the flag of the KCU.

With a spectacular firework display of various colours lighting up the sky in June along with the thrilling sound of exploding fireworks, the performers depicted letters of "Ready Always" with the change of formations by reflecting the determination of schoolchildren across the country to get themselves fully ready to be masters who will shoulder the future of prosperous and powerful Korea.

The event reinforced the firm conviction of all the participants that the future of the DPRK would be brighter and rosier thanks to the outstanding leadership of the great Party Central Committee which is opening up a broad avenue to overall national rejuvenation on the strength of love for the younger generations.
