A melamine resin production line was established at the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex.

All the processes of the new production line including the melamine monomer synthesis process are precise, energy- and resource-saving, technology-intensive and environment-friendly.

The completion of the modern line opened up a sure prospect for revitalizing the production of melamine resin urgently needed in economic development and the improvement of the people's living standards with domestic technology and resources and laid another solid foundation for putting the chemical industry on a Juche basis.

An inauguration ceremony of the production line was held on the spot on June 9.

Present there were Yang Sung Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Kim Chol Ha, minister of Chemical Industry, Ri Jong Nam, chief secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Hyon Chol, chairman of the provincial people's committee, scientists, technicians, designers and officials of supply units who contributed to the construction and employees of the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex.

Yang Sung Ho delivered an inaugural address.

At the end of the ceremony, the participants went round the newly-built line.

That day an art performance was given in congratulation of the inauguration.
