The South Hamgyong Provincial Design Institute has made the designs of rural villages to fully provide the inhabitants with convenience while preserving the regional characteristics.

It completed the interior layouts of public and industrial buildings as optimum ones and made the architectural designs of schools and kindergartens in conformity with the educational environment and as required by the developing reality.

The South Phyongan and Jagang provincial design institutes have also made successes in creating architectural designs for ushering in an era in which regions undergo changes.
