The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea sent a congratulatory message to Gennadi Andreyevich Zhuganov, chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, on July 5.

The message said that the WPK Central Committee extended warm congratulations and comradely greetings to Comrade Gennadi Andreyevich Zhuganov on his reelection as chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation amid the high trust, support and expectations of all the party members at the 19th Party Congress.

It expressed belief that the comradely and good relations of friendship and cooperation between the two parties would further develop in the future in the common struggle for socialism, communism and independence against imperialism and make a positive contribution to steadily carrying forward the DPRK-Russia relations, which have been forged and verified in the face of all sorts of trials and challenges of history, to a comprehensive heyday.

It wished the chairman success in his responsible work for strengthening and developing the party.
