Wang Yajun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, hosted a reception at his embassy on July 22 on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

Present there at invitation were Kim Kang Il, vice-minister of National Defence of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Pak Yong Il, deputy-director of the General Political Bureau of the Korean People's Army, Mun Song Hyok, deputy department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Myong Ho, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, generals and officers of the Korean People's Army, officials concerned, and members of the diplomatic corps and the military attaches corps in Pyongyang.

Staff members of the Chinese embassy were on hand.

Speeches were made at the reception.
