The DPRK-Russia children's friendship camping began amid the interest of the peoples of the two countries.

The friendship camping at the Songdowon International Children's Camp included schoolchildren's camping groups of the DPRK and Russia.

A ceremony of starting the camping took place on July 22.

Present at the ceremony were Kim Song Il, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, officials concerned and campers. A camping flag was hoisted at the ceremony.

The vice-chairman of the youth league central committee and the director of the Songdowon International Children's Camp made congratulatory remarks.

Colourful fireworks were displayed in the sky above Songdowon and there were a ceremony of a schoolchildren's brass band and a small drum group and the march-past of campers.
