Young people vow to carry forward soul of victorious wartime generation, stage march of succession
July 29, 2025A meeting of the new generation to vow to carry forward the soul of the victorious wartime generation took place in Pyongyang on July 27.
Present there were Choe Tong Myong, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Jong Kyong Thaek, director of the General Political Bureau of the Korean People's Army, Ju Chang Il, department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, Kim Su Gil, chief secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the WPK, Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, youth league officials, service personnel, students of Mangyongdae and Chilgol revolutionary schools and other youth and students in Pyongyang.
Read out at the meeting was a resolution reflecting the will of the new generation to fulfill their mission as descendants of the victorious wartime generation and as defenders.
The resolution said that at this time of significantly celebrating the V-Day of our dignified and powerful state the noble soul of the victors of the great years redoubles the new generation’s mind of succession that remains unchanged even with the passage of time.
It called for waging a more dynamic patriotic movement and mass movement to bolster up the country's defence capabilities indefinitely without a moment’s stop and limitation, bearing in mind the immutable truth that the country should become stronger through the July 27 of miracles achieved at the cost of blood.
All the participants made a firm pledge to fully demonstrate the resourcefulness and courage of the patriotic youth by firmly carrying forward the indomitable spirit and revolutionary faith kept by the first defenders of the DPRK and thus glorify forever the great era of
A vigorous march of the new generation began at the plaza of the April 25 House of Culture led by the column of young people carrying the national flags of the DPRK permeated with the soul of the victorious wartime generation and shining with the dignity and honour of the people of a powerful country.
Participants marched holding portraits of the passionate loyalists and brave fighters of the war who laid the solid cornerstones in the course of the DPRK's development, leaving every trace of their lives as an exemplar of pure loyalty to the leader and boundless patriotic devotion.
The participants marched through streets of the capital city, bearing in mind again the noble spiritual world of the victorious wartime generation who honourably defended the sovereignty and territory of the DPRK with costly sacrifices and immortal feats.
