Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a congratulatory speech by way of video-conferencing on July 27 to mark Navy Day.

People remember all generations who demonstrated the honour and might of the Russian Navy and proved that Russia is a great maritime power through successful battles, assiduity and brilliant scientific achievements in indifferent years and eras, he noted.

The navy is an asset and pride of the country and sailors win the sincere respect of the Russian people, he said.

He emphasized that spiritual strength, bravery, sincerity, honesty and fraternal friendship of sailors were cultivated during their military service on the dangerous and harsh sea and they are based on the sincere and invariable love for the country.
