The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to Choe Kyong Hwa, a woman living in Neighbourhood Unit No. 5, Ryongsong-dong No. 1, Ryongsong District, Pyongyang, on her 100th birthday.

The centenarian extended thanks to Kim Jong Un as she received the birthday spread amid the congratulations of officials of the Ryongsong District Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and villagers.

She lived in bondage at a landlord's house and was subjected to all manner of maltreatment before Korea's liberation. After President Kim Il Sung liberated the country from Japanese military rule, she could lead a genuine life of human being.

During the Fatherland Liberation War, she fought bravely to defend the benevolent system. Working as a neighbourhood unit leader for decades after the war, she devoted herself to turning the neighbourhood unit into a large harmonious and united family and received a citation of the President.

After becoming a pensioner, she has done good things for the country and the villagers respect the centenarian who brought up her five children well and put them forward at important posts.
