The construction of regional-industry factories planned for this year goes full steam ahead and officials and workers across the country step up the production of equipment to be sent to them.

The officers and men of the 124th regiments of the Korean People’s Army are now working hard to complete the internal construction project at the regional-industry factories in 20 cities and counties.

The soldier-builders engaged in the construction of regional-industry factories in Puryong County completed the construction of the partition walls ahead of schedule by introducing advanced construction methods and finished the internal plastering in the main.

Those in charge of the construction of regional-industry factories in Taegwan and Sinyang counties made full consideration of the manpower and construction tasks and concentrated efforts on the main point. They also prepared the tools needed for the internal project beforehand and raised both the speed and quality of construction, thus notching up surprising successes in the internal construction project.

Those dispatched to several cities and counties including Sinpho City and Hwangju and Ryonggang counties also continue to shorten the time for each working process by applying rational construction methods to save building materials and speed up the construction while meeting the requirements for the quality of construction by pooling their creative wisdom and efforts.

The manufacture of equipment to be sent to regional-industry factories now under construction in 20 cities and counties is dynamically being pushed ahead.

According to data available at the relevant section of the non-permanent central committee for promoting the Regional Development 20×10 Policy, thousands of pieces of more equipment should be manufactured this year than last year.

The central committee reportedly made an in-depth study of the ways for increasing the proportion of domestic production of equipment in cooperation with scientists and technicians of various units including a scientific research institution and found scientific and technological solutions to the domestic production of over 30 kinds of facilities.

On the basis of this, it first organized the serial production of over a dozen kinds of equipment.

Elaborate preparations are being made from now on to ensure the operation of regional-industry factories to be built next year by realizing the domestic production of major facilities for the bread and sweets production, wood processing, packing and other processes.

As many units are involved in the manufacture of equipment for these factories, the committee selected 10-odd units to set an example in the production of equipment parts and held a demonstration in May.

More than 50 units are now pushing ahead with the manufacture of hundreds of kinds of equipment by widely introducing advanced technologies.
