The regional-industry factories in Jaeryong and Unchon counties, which were built as the first entities of the Workers’ Party of Korea’s policy on regional development, have set the people’s demand as their standard and actively push ahead with the work to improve the quality of products and expand the varieties of goods.

In close cooperation with the relevant sector, the factories held several rounds of passing-on-technique session and practical training in an effective way to increase the ranks of technicians and skilled workers with a higher level of technical knowledge and skills and developed dozens of kinds of new products with locally available raw materials.

The South Hwanghae Provincial Regional-Industry Management Bureau puts the production at the raw material production bases on a normal footing and consolidates the material and technical foundation to satisfactorily supply raw materials to regional-industry factories and carefully organizes the work to introduce technical innovation plans presented by technicians and skilled workers into production.

Many officials and skilled workers of the provincial-level factories are now engaged in the transfer of techniques and skills according to production processes at the regional-industry factories in Jaeryong and Unchon counties, stimulating the development of new products there.

As a result, the Jaeryong County Foodstuff Factory has increased the varieties of products including sandwich cake, carbonated drinks, peppered bean paste and soy sauce. Various kinds of clothes and packing containers made by the Jaeryong County garment and daily necessities factories are also popular among the residents.

The Unchon County Foodstuff Factory organized a technical innovation prize contest for developing popular products with local specialties such as sweet potato. Now it widely encourages public assessment of new products. The Unchon County daily necessities and garment factories are producing wormwood, peppermint and lavender laundry soap, liquid soap, dish detergent, various kinds of plastic vessels with beautiful patterns and new styles of clothes for each season favoured by the county population.

Officials and working people of the commercial service units in the counties are also striving to improve service in the supply and sale of goods in order to ensure that the love and care of the Party for promoting the well-being of the regional people really reach the inhabitants.
