An expedition of the General Association of Koreans in China made a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

On August 10, the members of the group climbed Mt Paektu, the ancestral mountain where the Korean revolution started and which is associated with the sacred history of the anti-Japanese war.

On the top of Mt Paektu they adopted a letter of resolution to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

Visiting Chairman Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp, they laid bouquets at the mosaic depicting the peerlessly great persons and paid tribute to them.

During the study tour, they visited the Samjiyon Grand Monument and Chongbong Bivouac and various places in Samjiyon City.
