The Iranian foreign minister on August 6 called for a special meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation concerning the humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip.

He said that the issues of taking joint stand and practical measures to stop Israel’s aggression and place the responsibility on it, defending the rights of Palestinians and immediately delivering humanitarian aid materials to Gaza should be given priority at this meeting.

The present situation of Gaza is not merely a humanitarian crisis but systematic extermination of civilians in blockade and Israel is revealing its illegal attempt to occupy Gaza again and annex it completely, he added.
