Indian PM calls for strengthening self-reliance
August 20, 2025The Indian Prime Minister called for strengthening self-reliance in a speech delivered on the occasion of Independence Day on August 15.
The present era calls on the country for producing everything ranging from fertilizer to jet engine and electromobile battery by itself, he said.
The government gives priority to farmers, fishermen and pasturers, he said, adding that it would resolutely counter the acts of infringing their interests and never make a concession.
