The Russian Federal Security Service carried out joint operations with the national guards and the Ministry of the Interior to detect and arrest Ukrainian terrorists in the woodland of Bryansk.

According to the Federal Security Service on August 20, they shot three terrorists to death and arrested three others during the operations.

The terrorists had been trained by the West’s special agencies and were scheming to destroy objects of the transport infrastructure and commit terrorist acts in the Russian territory, it said.

The arrested confessed to the railway explosion in Belgorod and the motorcar bridge explosion in Bryansk, incidents of last year and this year, and to newly-prepared terrorist acts.
