A national youth sci-tech successes exhibition opened with due ceremony at the Sci-Tech Complex in Pyongyang on August 26 on the occasion of Youth Day.

On display at the venue are data on more than 1 500 scientific and technological findings made by young people through a mass technical innovation movement at their workplaces seething with activities for increased production.

Present at the opening ceremony were Kim Jong Sun, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Song Bin, chairman of the State Commission of Science and Technology, officials of the youth league and young people.

Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made an opening address.

The speaker said that the current exhibition would be an occasion for redoubling the enthusiasm of young people of the new generation who are determined to contribute to implementing the five-year plan for national economic development.
