Venezuelan president censures US for government overthrow plot
August 29, 2025The Venezuelan president condemned the US for its move to overthrow the Venezuelan government at an event on August 22.
He accused the US of deploying military hardware in the waters near his country under the pretext of “anti-drug operation” and said that it is aimed at overthrowing the Venezuelan government by military means.
The US move is a violation of international law, he denounced.
