Israel is carrying out an intentional starvation operation in the Gaza Strip.

Amnesty International, an international human rights organization, said Israel is systematically destroying the health and social order of Palestinians as they perform the starvation operation. Hunger is not an accidental by-product of attack, but an “intentional outcome of the policy pursued by Israel” and a “part of genocide”, it noted.

As is known, Israel has surrounded the Gaza Strip and totally blocked the shipment of aid materials since March on the pretext of increasing pressure on the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas). As a result, 6 000 truckfuls of aid materials are staying in the neighbouring countries and many people who suffered from starvation are losing their lives in the Gaza Strip.

At present, more than 500 000 Palestinians have faced the worst starvation and about 132 000 children under 5 years old suffered acute malnutrition. Over 640 000 people will reportedly face the worst stage of devastating famine and 1.14 million an emergency situation by late September this year.

What should not be overlooked is that Israel expands its military attack, indiscriminately shooting to death the inhabitants who gathered around the food supply station to receive aid materials in Gaza, while openly revealing its sinister intention to further expand the Jewish settlements by building thousands of houses in the West Bank.

Recently, the Israeli defense minister said that if Hamas did not agree to the demands of Israel, the “door to hell” would open and the biggest city in Gaza would be destroyed.

It is a violation of international law and a war crime aimed at checking the building of an independent state of Palestine and exterminating a country and nation.

The sustained and ceaseless military attack of Israel has now put the residents of the Gaza Strip at a crossroads of life and death.

The international community unanimously lodges a barrage of protest and denunciation against the crimes against humanity of the Israeli warmongers who do not care about the ruin of other nations to realize their wild ambition for territorial seizure.

The Israeli murderers should be well aware of it.

That war crime and bloody massacre can never escape stern punishments by history in the present century when the desire and efforts of mankind to build a new world which is free from aggression and plunder and where the sovereignty and right to existence of the countries and nations are guaranteed have grown stronger.
